VSAA (Variable Sine Algorithmic Analysis) is a time-series analysis method that addresses the problem of tracing a single variable periodicity through a given time-series. Here we summarize the application of the method to the study of the solar activity cycle and describe how the method can be used to predict the future behavior of this quasi-periodic phenomenon.
