Correlative measurements for the High Resolution Doppler Imager (HRDI) on board the Upper Atmospheric Research Satellite (UARS) have been obtained from several sites. NASA Wallops Flight Facility, (WFF), has the lengthiest series of measurements; the other sites have data from short campaigns. Falling spheres launched during overpasses of HRDI are compared to temperature and wind data from HRDI. There are several dozen successful correlative measurements spanning from early in the UARS data series through 1996. The results of the inflatable falling sphere measurements are examined against the HRDI data to see how comparable the wind and temperature measurements are over the overlapping altitude ranges (roughly 60-90 km). While individual comparisons show varying degrees of agreement, averages for each location or by year compare well, generally within the stated goal of accuracy for HRDI.
