On the basis of the Cassini data (RPWS, CAPS, MAG) studies on the external control of the Saturn Kilometric Radiation (SKR) have been performed with special emphasis on transient, short-lived changes in the SKR-stimulating parameters, i.e. on SKR trigger effects. Considering the fact that non-thermal radio emission is the result of complex interacting physical processes, primarily depending on several simultaneously acting parameters, the so-called Linear Prediction Theory (LPT) is able to provide a multi-dimensional link between multi-channel inputs and outputs, based on the technique of least squares fitting, by applying a linear n-dimensional filter function. The corresponding mathematical algorithms have been developed, with appropriate data acquisition. The application to the problem of SKR triggering effects will be presented with particular time intervals of SKR under external influence.
