Kalman-Wiener filtering and Jazwinski filtering are applied to satellite
orbit determination. It is shown that the use of sequential filtering
for this purpose leads to certain difficulties associated primarily with
the nonstochastic and nonlinear nature of the corrections to be
estimated during the filtering process.
