Earth Model, Deformational Displacement, Elastic Energy Of Deformation

The relatively perfect Earth model PREM being adopted, the deformational displacement vector are obtained through resolving the fundamental differential equations of an elastic body; then, the elastic energies of deformation caused respectively by the luni-solar tide- generating potential and the centrifugal potential of the Earth rotation are computed. The results provide a magnitude evaluation of the perturbation terms to the Hamiltonian expressions in the study of dynamics of the elastic earth. Furthermore, if the elastic energies of deformation are calculated in consideration of the viscosity of the earth mantle, it will be an important aspect for the theoretical research of the evolution of the Earth-Moon system.
