Photometric observations of the nebulae near Maia and Ced 201 are interpreted using the first order theory of scattering by dust grains in a homogeneous nebula. It is shown that ice grains in a nebula model with the star inside and silicate grains in a nebula model with the star on the front surface satisfactorily represent the observations of Maia and Ced 201, respectively.
