The inclination of the Large Magellanic Cloud recently derived from residuals of the Cepheid period-luminosity relation is shown to be in good agreement with the previous determinations by this and other methods. The weighted mean value of four different methods, i = 27.2 plus or minus 2.4 deg, confirms the previously adopted value. The near side of the Cloud is the east side and there is no evidence for a large-scale gradient of galactic extinction across the central 10 deg field.
