The use of galaxy warp characteristics to separate the mass distributions of galactic disk and halo components is examined. A theory of bending waves which result from the transfer of angular momentum from disk to halo and account for the existence and magnitude of warps in spiral galaxies is used to determine the functional form of the disk density distribution. With proper normalization by comparisons with observations, halo densities are derived from the rotation curves of the Galaxy, NGC 2841 and M33. It is noted that, with better observations, it may be possible to use the bending wave theory to measure the mass-to-light ratio in the disks of external galaxies and thus compute the core radius of the halo component.
