The outstanding particle flux feature associated with the Trigger release experiment was the burst of electrons which first appeared 150 msec after the cesium injection and prevailed for about 1 sec. This enhancement was not only field-aligned in the downward direction, but also at the center of the burst it was field-aligned in the upward direction. A possible explanation for this effect is that a bunch of electrons was trapped between two potential barriers. There was also evidence for a more prolonged effect on the high-energy particle population.
