The EUSO experiment (Extreme Universe Space Observatory), on board the International Space Station, will study very high energy cosmic rays arriving in the Earth's atmosphere, by the measurement of nitrogen fluorescence light and by the Cherenkov radiation of the showers induced by the cosmic rays. The hundreds of expected annual events will allow to study the energy spectrum beyond the GZK cut-off, at 5. 1019 eV. In addition to the charged cosmic rays, EUSO proposes to study the neutrinos with extreme energies interacting in the atmosphere, and also the neutrinos (tau) of 1014 eV having crossed the Earth throughout and producing Cherenkov light.
