We have examined preliminary data of the globular cluster M22, from the EPIC MOS detectors on board XMM-Newton. We have identified 27 low luminosity X-ray sources within the field of view, 24 of wich are new identifications. 3 sources were found within the core of the cluster. From the mass estimation of the X-ray sources, it is likely that the objects at the centre of the core are quiescent X-ray transients or RS CVs binaries. We derive a luminosity function steeper than previouswork has indicated.
