Scientific paper

The present paper studies the variation in angular momentum of a comet during its ejection phase while moving in the plane of primaries. A simple increase in this variation is discovered which depends only on the comet's initial radial distance; from this increase, sufficient conditions for escape and for return from a prescribed distance are derived.
