We have constructed models for the vertical structure of disks around a black hole of one-million solar masses at distances from it smaller than the tidal breakup radius. These disks are massive enough that nuclear burning occurs in their central layers. It has been found that convection occurs for disks with log effective temperature greater than 4.25, and the viscosity effect associated with it causes matter to spiral inward to the black hole.
