Identifications of 315 planetary nebulae in M31 are summarized. Representative photographs of various fields centered along the major axis and on the nucleus are presented along with monochromatic photoelectric 5007-A forbidden O III fluxes for eight planetary nebulae in M31. The total number of planetary nebulae in M31 within 3 magnitudes of the brightest planetary is estimated to be 2700, and the total number in M31 with radii less than 0.6 pc is found to be between 5400 and 27,000. The mass-loss rate in the nuclear bulge of M31 is considered, and it is shown that with a plausible initial mass function, about 25% of the initial stellar mass of the nuclear bulge would be returned to the interstellar medium. It is concluded that this amount is sufficient to account for the likely mass of the nuclear disk and that this is in fact the origin of the nuclear disk in M31.
