Results are reported for 18-cm observations of a sample of 67 variable radio sources located between declinations of 20 and 40 deg at galactic latitudes above + or - 20 deg, believed to be complete in the indicated region to a limiting flux density of 2.0 Jy at 1400 MHz. It is shown that three sources exhibit probable variability (chi-square probability of the null hypothesis less than 0.001) and that four are possibly variable (chi-square probability between 0.001 and 0.01); these represent 5% and 6% of the sample, respectively. A Monte Carlo simulation of source variations is discussed which was performed to evaluate the reliability of the conclusions regarding source variability. The data are then compared with the compilation of flux densities by Kellermann et al. (1969), and it is concluded that the present measurements are reliable and the error estimates realistic. Plots of flux density vs. time are given for three of the possibly variable sources.
