The Robinson, Nather, and Patterson (1978) calculation of the mass ratio of the recurrent nova WZ Sge is criticized, and it is suggested that the assumptions underlying their eclipse analysis are invalid. It is noted that the interpretation of S-wave and W UMa-like light variations is sensitive to observational and theoretical uncertainties. A new attempt to calculate the range of the mass ratio and inclination indicates the lack of sufficient spectroscopic data.
