Balloon-borne observations were made from an altitude of 25 km approximately 120 km off the coast of northeastern Japan. The balloon then drifted westward across Japan island, taking near-infrared readings of late stars with a Reticon matrix camera as it went. Alpha-Aql was used as a reference for photometric comparison. Attention is given to observations of alpha-Boo, alpha-Sco, and alpha-Her.
