A set of 1377 lunar laser-ranging measurements is analyzed to determine the existence, amplitudes, and periods of free librations in the rotational motion of the moon about its center of mass. The data are analyzed using two different libration models, and up to 10 parameters are introduced to correct the librations in latitude and longitude. The results indicate the existence of three modes of free oscillations, one in longitude and two in latitude. A period of 2.9 years and an amplitude of approximately 1.7 arcsec are determined for the libration in longitude; periods of 27.3 days and 75 years with respective amplitudes of approximately 0.5 and 3.7 arcsec are computed for the librations in latitude.
