OH has been detected in absorption towards the compact H II region N159
in the Large Magellanic Cloud. The heliocentric velocity (253 km/s) and
half-intensity width (10 km/s) of the absorption profile are similar to
corresponding parameters for CO emission and H2CO absorption detected
previously.
