Results are presented from an analysis of quasi-stationary solar wind streams, showing that, along with the heliospheric current sheet (HCS) with a neutral line (NL), there exists also the HCS without NL. Chains of streamers correspond to HCS without NL near the sun, which divide solar coronal regions having the same directions of the radial magnetic field, B(r). It is shown that only the part of solar wind structures showing changes of sign of B(r) which arives at 1 AU followed by shock waves may be interpreted as a bend of the HCS with NL reported by Akasofu (1979, 1981); the other structures are areas of HCS with or without NL.
