Hyperfine structure of the 5(2,3)-6(1,6), J = 11/2-13/2 ground-state rotational transition of NH2 was observed by the technique of microwave optical double resonance (MODR). Strong to medium MODR signals were obtained at five frequencies. The positive assignment made of the hyperfine components of this transition rules out the tentative assignment to one of these components of the 8188.836 MHz line observed by Giguere and Clark (1975) in comet Kohoutek. The term values reported by Duxbury (1968) indicate that the transition reported and the other component of the doublet, expected to be near 16 GHz, are probably the only lines of NH2 below 200 GHz of low enough energy for astronomical observation.
