UBVRI-beta photometry and unfiltered polarimetry were obtained for a
group of stars in the field of the reflection nebula NGC 5367, which is
the head of a cometary globule more than 1 deg of arc. The observations
are used to derive the distance and to discuss the magnetic field in the
core of the globule.
