Strong point-explosion in an axisymmetric medium whose density is decreasing exponen- tially and in which the flow field has zero temperature gradient sufficiently far behind the shock, is being studied. It is found that the shock velocity is the same as in the adiabatic case in the initial stages, but after a few seconds the shock moves much faster than it would if the flow field behind were adiabatic
