By constructing the plot of largest angular size (LAS) versus redshift (z) for 164 quasars from the lists of Miley (1971) and Wardle and Miley (1974), and comparing this plot and one constructed on the basis of analysis of the distribution of largest angular size and of the emission-line redshifts for the quasars, it is shown that the envelope of the LAS-z plot is a consequence of statistical effects and is just a reflection of the redshift distribution diagram. Hence the envelope function has no intrinsic physical significance. The result is consistent with the view that there are no redshifts in quasar spectra.
