Observations from the Planetary Radio Astronomy experiment aboard the two Voyager spacecraft are used to study the long-term fluctuations of the Jovian emission at hectometer and kilometer wavelengths. A power spectrum analysis of the data leads to the conclusion that the sector structure of the interplanetary magnetic field has an important role in controlling the long-term intensity fluctuations observed at hectometer wavelengths and the correlated variations of the broad-band emissions at kilometer wavelengths. The position of the sources of emission in the Jovian magnetosphere is discussed.
