The major discoveries of the Voyager missions to Jupiter and Saturn are reviewed. The characteristics and mechanisms of the earth magnetosphere are examined, and the Jovian magnetosphere (with the Io torus belt), the Saturnian magnetosphere, the radio emissions of the planets, and the Saturn electric discharges are discussed. Drawings of the magnetic fields and a Voyager image of Io are included.
