Attention is given to conditions not checked by Vaidya and Tirekar (1982) in their assumption of an ad hoc relation between the coefficients of the metric in relativistic neutron star model, especially for that condition in which pressure is positive and gradient negative. It is found that both these conditions are fulfilled, validating the Vaidya and Tirekar model.
