The Brans-Dicke field equations recently solved by Ram (1983) for an
axially symmetric Bianchi type I vacuum space-time yields a general
solution that is presently noted to be wrong. The correct solution is
only a special case of the general triaxial Bianchi type I solution
given by Ruban and Finkelstein (1972).
