Deep plates of the clumpy irregular galaxy Mkn 325 have been taken which
exhibit a shell-like structure of about 22 kpc galactocentric distance.
This is reminiscent of the ripples frequently found around merger
galaxies, but it could also be a shock produced by a star formation
burst and ploughing through the interstellar medium.
