A formula for the ratio of the planar velocity dispersions containing an
asymmetric-drift term is found. If the hydrodynamic equation is applied
one can estimate the local amount of the asymmetric drift. By returning
to the former formula it is possible to obtain the local slope of the
circular velocity independently of the Oort kinematical coefficients.
