The evolution of the orbit of a small particle affected by regular and irregular components of the solar wind is examined. If the irregularity is taken into account, the pattern of motion may qualitatively change on large time scales, because the general integrals of motion are not conserved. The diffusion along the eccentricity of the orbit is most important. In certain cases, it can lead to the escape of a particle from the solar region. Corresponding numerical estimates are given.
