Hill's suggestion that Einstein's general relativity may be invalid requires a rapidly spinning solar core. The triplet structure observed in the solar 5-minute power spectrum seems incompatible with this rotating core. But the triplet structure can be accounted for as the effect of a magnetically distorted core rotating with an approximately 12.5-day period.
