Observational data on globular clusters are summarized and characterized, and the physical principles used to compute their ages are explained. Hertzsprung-Russell diagrams are presented, and the age of most globular clusters is shown to be equal to the expansion age of the universe (the reciprocal of the Hubble constant) and the age of the chemical elements.
