Several simple statistical consequences of the relativistic beaming model are examined using a large sample of double quasars, and the results are found to be consistent with this model. Using the fractional emission from the core f(c) as a statistical measure of the orientation of the source, it is found that f(c) is anticorrelated with the observed linear size but shows a positive correlation with both the observed degree of misalignment from a collinear double structure and the ratio of separations of the outer lobe hotspots from the central component or the quasar. Sources of smaller projected linear sizes appear more misaligned and the degree of misalignment appears to be correlated with the ratio of separations of the outer hotspots. All these correlations are consistent with the predictions of the relativistic beaming model.
