A search was conducted for the 42,3 → 33,0
transition of water vapor in the ν2 excited vibrational
state at 12,008.80 MHz. Sixteen known H2O maser sources
were searched to °T*A rms levels ranging
from 0.014 K to 0.026 K without detecting any emission.
