The results of broad and narrow band electronographic observations of the barred spiral, hot-spot nucleus galaxy NGC 3351 are presented and discussed. The star forming activity along a ring about 650 pc in diameter has been studied more particularly. A mass of newly born stars of about 3.2 million solar masses is derived. From a comparison between the observed colors for the central area and the theoretically computed colors of a galaxy which generated a burst of star formation, it is deduced that the presently observed young stars correspond to a burst which started some 50 million yrs ago and lasted for about the same period of time.
