The viability of the solar alpha-omega dynamo model was studied through
examination of extreme stellar cases expected to show specific types of
deviation from solar behavior. Observational data was taken from studies
of main sequence stars with shallow convective zones, fully convective
M-dwarfs, and a Pleiades X-ray survey.
