The semianalytical lunar-ephemeris solution ELP2000-82 derived by Chapront-Touze and Chapront (1982) is applied to published data from 59,765 mainly visual lunar-occultation observations from the period 1955-1980. The data selection, comparison, and reduction methods are explained, and the results are presented in tables and graphs and characterized in detail. The tidal term in the expression for the mean lunar longitude derived from the observations is shown to be consistent with that derived from lunar-ranging measurements; good agreement is found between the observations and theoretical predictions of the mean motions of the perigee and nodes; corrections to the lunar-profile charts of Watts (1963) are given and found to be similar to those proposed by other methods; and discrepancies between the lunar-theory coefficients and fundamental-catalog equinox corrections obtained in the present analysis and those of other recent investigations are attributed to deficiencies in the theoretical model of Brown (1910-1916) employed in those studies.
