Procedural difficulties encountered in astronomical searches for objects genetically related to the Apollo, Aten, and Amor asteroids are discussed. Particular emphasis is given to the problems inherent in comparisons of theoretical and observed radiants. Other difficulties are discussed, including the poor observability of intermediate size asteroids from the earth, orbital perturbations, and the physical make-up of the bodies. Observations of the stream of the Aten asteroid 2340 Hathor are presented as an example.
