A consistent three-dimensional form of a preliminary theory of extragalactic redshift quantization is developed. The results are applied to the dynamics of an isolated galaxy component, by means of a Schroedinger equation. The interpretation of the wave function is discussed, and it is possible to associate the coefficients of the expansion of a wave function in terms of redshift eigenfunctions with observed redshift components. Possible extensions of the theory to smaller scales and the role of the non-perfect-square states are discussed.
