An examination is undertaken of VLBI structural position angles, together with the angles of radio and optical polarization positions, in order to ascertain whether they are correlated. Strong evidence of correlation is noted, in that the radio E vector lies perpendicular and the optical E vector lies parallel to the VLBI structural axis. These alignments furnish an important constraint on models of the central regime of QSOs and active galactic nuclei, for the case of core-dominated sources with strong, milliarcsec radio structure.
