Integral constraints for the radiation intensities in homogeneous, absorbing and anisotropically scattering media with radial symmetry are obtained. Asymptotic formulae for the radiation intensities in the outer layers of a sphere of large optical radius and an optically thick spherical envelope are found by means of the integral constraints and physical considerations. Cases of a central point source, uniformly distributed sources and conic sources on the outer boundary surface of the media are considered.
