The authors have computed equilibrium sequences of a self-gravitating and rotating fluid with uniform vorticity. These sequences are extensions of the Riemann sequences because no restrictions to the shape are imposed. Equilibrium solutions bifurcate from the Riemann ellipsoidal sequences into dumb-bell like sequences. The waist of the dumb-bell slims more and more and finally it leads to fission. The authors have also computed rotating binary sequences with uniform vorticity. They smoothly connect to the dumb-bell like sequences for the relatively small vorticity case, but for the large vorticity case the separation of the binary reaches a minimum value and the two fluids cannot approach each other closer than this value. This is the Roche limit for the case where the internal motion is included.
