We investigate constraints on vectorial interactions of various ranges stemming from particle, molecular, and astrophysics. We find that there is little room for such interactions. The importance of excluding such interactions in the framework of grand-unified-theory and string approaches is emphasized. It is noted that such interactions may have observable consequences even if they do not operate among ordinary quarks and leptons.
