Kaurov (1972) has proposed a procedure for determining the attitude of a satellite with a magnetic damper, using a technique where the navigational information contains the responses of a three-component indicator of the magnetic field intensity and some other instruments. A differential equation is derived for determining an attitude parameter that cannot be obtained from the three-component indicator.
