A first order solution for the problem of double libration in orbital mechanics is constructed by a generalization of a procedure used in solving the Ideal Resonance Problem. The solution presents a reference orbit for a Perturbed Resonance Problem if a double libration occurs as a result of perturbations. It is shown that the phase-plane diagram of the Ideal Resonance Problem is topologically equivalent to that of a simple pendulum. Double libration is illustrated by the horseshoe orbits of the Trojan asteroids.
