Three-color photometry in stellar statistics is used to collect data which provides a better understanding of the layout of the galaxies. The stellar statistical method is outlined and the instruments of three-color photometry (two color diagrams and color brightness diagrams) are discussed. The true position of the cluster in the Milky Way is derived from the distance and apparent position of the star cluster in the sky. The mean density in the interstellar material in the cluster pattern can be derived from the absorption (relative to redness) of the clusters. The distance and absorption information for many galactic star clusters will provide a better understanding of the stellar and interstellar components of the galaxy.
