A catalogue of 492 H II regions in the spiral galaxy M81 has been compiled from the analysis of a narrow-band Hα photograph. The catalogue gives X, Y off-set positions of the identified H II regions, Hα fluxes and angular diameters corrected for instrumental broadening. It is found that the frequency distribution of the H II region diameters follows Van den Bergh's law and that the Hα luminosity function is well represented by a power-law. Also, a good agreement is found between the total Hα and 2000 Å fluxes.
