Results of ongoing investigations in nuclear and astrophysics and reactor technology are briefly reported. A connection between the resonance structure revealed by the high energy resolution neutron cross section measurements and the average nuclear potential was demonstrated. Measurements of the capture cross sections of the isotopes of Osmium made possible a highly reliable estimate of the age of the chemical elements. Finally, the U-238 inelastic neutron scattering cross section near 82 keV (near the peak of the fast reactor neutron spectrum) was measured along with the capture cross sections of Ru-101, Rh-103 and Pd-105 isotopes.
