Observations of Comet Wilson made from April 24 until April 30, 1987 at the ESO 1-m telescope are discussed. The technical aspects of the observing procedure are described. The resulting CCD raw images of the comet are presented and discussed. Compared to Comet Halley, Comet Wilson is a weak object. The heliocentric distances of both comets are about 1.2 A.U., but Comet Halley was at a geocentric distance of 0.45 A.U. compared to 0.64 A.U. for Comet Wilson. The spectra showed an N+ ion tail at 391.4 nm.
